Family help: I am 5′4″ and i weigh about 135lbs. - Help.com

I am 5′4″ and i weigh about 135lbs.

I used to weigh 122lbs but got caught by the “freshman 15″. When I was skinny my family accused me of purging (never done that in my life) to be so small. Now that I have gained weight they constantly tell me how fat I am and a few days ago my dad called me a fat pig. I really hate my life and the fact that my family cannot accept me for who I am.

I think your family needs sensitivity training. That’s not very nice that they call you those names.

your family is not supportive AT ALL. i should know, mind is exactly the same. im constantly called “anorexic”.
I bet you, you are gorgeous.
In fact, not betting, you ARE gorgeous, no matter what size you are (:

When you learn to accept yourself for what you are no matter what you look like, your family’s comments will mean nothing to you and you will realise how much better than them you are.

they all probably have very low self esteems.
Good lucks (: xx

you’re family is just not being supportive, to be honest, 11 pounds isn’t that serious. If I were you I would just tell them to [EXPLICIT] off! I think though you should tell them that there comments are not appropriate and you don’t appreciate it, even though I still prefer the first method rather than the latter.

I’m sure you’re a beautiful girl and 10 pounds is easy enough to lose. just do like 30 min of cardio a day (walking is fine) lower your daily caloric intake by like 300-400 cals. Eat a lower amount of carbs and stay away from simple carbohydrates. Don’t eat carbs after like 6-7pm. If youre truly interested go to www.bodybuilding.com they have great info there. I buy all of my nutritional supplements from them and I have learned a lot from their forums.

Just keep your chin up, it’s not a big deal. Ha, just don’t let the 10 turn into 20+ pounds because then its tricky to lose and you’re clothes stop fitting. Quite annoying, believe me.
