guitar help?

so im going to get a guitar. http://www.guitarcenter.com/Fender-Road-Worn–50s-Stratocaster-Electric-Gui tar-104998505-i1434663.gc its this one. but what else do i need…i think an amp, a distortion pedal, and thats all i know. im practically new at guitar and am really physced up, but ive been playing piano for almost 9 years now, as well as violin with orchestra, so i think with practice i can be good. equipment can be found at guitarcenter.com. i don’t know what else i need so plz suggest stuff. only problem…not expensive. i have 200 bucks left when i buy the guitar. thanks!

don’t feel like you have to spend it all the same day - get the guitar, and an amp (some, like most marshalls, have good distortion built-in, so you don’t have to buy that one separately), and start playing. for $200, you can buy some nice fx, but not all of them, so you might want to wait for a while until you’re sure which ones you like.

also, for this kind of ‘hardware’ (the fx, not the guitar), consider ebay or the like - you’ll find the same stuff for a lot cheaper. people start playing guitar everyday, but some of them stop as well and sell on their stuff…

other stuff you might want to have soon: a tuner, a carrying bag, an extra set of strings

yea, i have a tuner at least for acoustic, strings for acoustic (is that the same?) and picks for acoustic, which im pretty sure is the same. :D

loud enough to practice on your own, but if you consider starting a band, you might want to look for something that has a bit more then 30W

wow that is a really expensive guitar for someone who is new to the instrument maybe you should consider something cheeper for starters i know its possible to get a set including everything you need you can get it in most music stores good luck:]
