Love help: I am in love with a girl. - Help.com

I am in love with a girl.

She works with me. I know a little about her past. She has had failed relationships but is single now. I talk to her everyday, have fun arguing on silly stuff everyday. But, I am not confident about taking any step forward to a relationship for two reasons.

1. She has been hurt badly in her last failed relationship. She has expressed that she doesn’t want to have relationships any more.

2. The kind of guys she has dated and her friends circle are very different from me. I am not the tall and handsome kind of guy. I’m not sure whether she would like me just because I am intelligent and caring.

I dream of being with her forever but I am afraid of creating any complications in her life. I want her to be at ease with her life. And especially when she has said that she doesn’t want a new relationship, I don’t want to create any complications in her life.

I don’t think anyone can help me with this. But I feel so bad right now that I want to share it here. I feel very helpless and negative about the whole thing. Everyday, after I come back from home, I miss her so much. :-( Can someone please talk to me? I really don’t know how to feel good. :-(

well if you really like this girl. ask her out to hangout. go and do something fun. not as a date but hanging out with friends. and u could see if she likes you. or she just wants to be friends.

Feeling hopeless and being negative will not help! Get your act together and ask her out. That way you will be able to get to know her more and see if she would be ready to have a new relationship, as you say she has been badly hurt from previous relationships.

Thanks for your advice. I have never asked a girl out before. So, I’m not sure how this happens. In all my previous relationships it began with a good friendship, so, there was no asking out business. We just used to go out for a dinner or something have fun like good friends.

I don’t want to go on a date with this girl. But, yes, I definitely want to hang out with her and know her more. I am thinking of just asking her whether she is free in the evening so that we can go for an evening stroll somewhere and talk about various things.

Well, that sounds like a good starting point. You’ve got to start somewhere.

what age range is she?
she was hurt in the last relationship and she is probably feeling hopeless for the while, but she will heal. everybody heals from a broken heart. if she is young, she’s just being silly and thinking about the present. i recently got out of a two year relationship that was going well but ended suddenly in shambles. i feel terrible but i know i will date again in the future.
my advice - give her time. give her support, but don’t be too clingy. tell her that she deserves better and all those wonderful things about her, but remember to wait until she feels more individual again. the last thing you want is to jump into a relationship with someone who is depressed and/or recovering from their ex.

plus; one thing about women is once they’ve dated enough jerks, they get tired of it and decide to actually date nice boys for a change. lol.
