Getting back with God…
I feel like it is impossible for me to come back to god. I know that is not true though. Last year I read the bible the whole way through and so I decided that this year I would take a break. I know that isnt how it works but I hate having to do something consistantly. EVERY day reading even just a short devotion drives me crazy!! Since I read the whole bible I just got bored of it. I just “got tired of God” I know that is bad but it is what it is. So this year I just sort of let go. I haven’t really been particularly “bad” or anything. But my big down fall is laziness. I just feel like, why do something yourself if someone else will do it for you? But I just have no desire to be with god but i am terrified of the rapture and me going to hell. What should I do? And I hear people saying they talk to god every dday. I pray a lot but he just sits there and says nothing. The only big spiritual connection i really have is at my church camp once a year and i speak in tounges and the whole 9 yards. But after that its just dead. I don’t really like my church. I just feel like i dont belong even though i grew up in it. People are very friendly to me but I go to a big church and it really intimidates me to have someone saying hi at every corner and bombarding me with greetings. And the music is so loud it makes me uncomfortable. I hate preaching it is loud and intimidating like my parents yelling at me. My church is really crazy they run up and down pews and jump up and down if they ‘feel the spirit’ and I almost wish there was just a quiet mellow light church service, but i dont think it exists. I am too young to drive to another and my parents wouldnt like it. HELP!
