Depression, Severe Social Phobia, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

I’m 18 and I can’t get a job or go to college because I can’t be around people. I end up completely breaking down and have even been known to pass out if I have to be around others. I also suffer from depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because something that happened when I was younger. I feel like my family just doesn’t understand. I don’t know who I can talk to. I have trust issues because of what happened and don’t trust anyone. Not even my family. I have been to see both a therapist and a psychatrist for about a year and was on medication but it didn’t help. I just don’t know what to do anymore, can anyone give advice?

Wow. I am so sorry. I really don’t have any advice for you. I would normally say go talk to someone but if that doesn’t help then I don’t know. My best suggestion would be to maybe work from home? so that you still have an income and slowly work to get over your fear of people. Slowly expose yourself. You could also try talking to someone who knows exactly what you are going through. Good Luck!
