My mum is driving me crazy we have never been particularily

close but now that I am getting married she has become my new best friend and want’s to choose, organize everything. She used to hurt me emotionaly and physicaly when I was younger and I find it really hard to want her to be so involved. But on the other hand I see my friends who are so close to their mothers and I have moments when I think maybe I should just forgive and forget. I find it so hard to just forget all the years of depression and pain she caused. What do I do?

You should have an honest conversation with your mother and tell her how you feel. She may say that she did the best she could at the time, but she should want to make amends for hurting you and want to improve the relationship. It is going to be hard, but hopefully she will be open to how you feel and you can move on with your wedding a have a great day as you should :)
