Good luck! I think you should go for it. You can always wait out the rain under an awning.

Don’t know about songs. I think you want something peppy to draw in the audience, and I think your attitude is as important as the song.

I should caution you that the public is probably a tough audience. A world famous violinist once went busking and got almost no attention (of course).

I heard the same thing. He played a top-dollar Strativarius (sp?) and only made $40 in an hour of playing, and that’s only because someone recognized him and gave him a twenty.

Just remember… it’s all about location location location!! Play somewhere where people walk and shop. You need to learn some covers.. Anything by Michael Jackson, Ray LaMontagne, Jack Johnson is good. Slay em with your vibes!

Very good idea. Didn’t even think about this. Now how would I do an acoustic version of “Billie Jean”?

I think I’m gonna do “Thriller”. Seems easy enough.

Anyone here ever gone busking? I’m seriously considering it, but keep getting held back by the chance of rain. I wouldn’t want to get out there only to end up getting my guitar wet. Should I just go for it or wait for better days?

Also, what are some good songs to play on the street? Note that it’s only myself and my guitar.
