Why won’t the music I purchased and made into a CD not play in my car CD Player?

Perhaps the CD was corrupted? Which program did you burn the disc with, and have you tried re-burning the songs?
My friend had the same issue. Depending on how old your car is, some car cd players can only play RCD’s. If you are using a re-writable that would be why your car can’t play it. Otherwise, if your car is newer than say….8 years, it beats me
Thanks for replying—I PURCHASED most of these songs @.99-1.29 each from iTunes. The rest of the songs are copied from CD’s I PURCHASED - so I’m not ‘freeloading’… Unfortunately, iTunes made my Toshiba laptop’s D: drive not be found. I corrected that problem by reading the iTunes help files and found that this is a known problem, so I uninstalled their downloads.. The copied CD DOES play on my computer using Quicktime or Windows Media Player, but won’t play in my car (2006–CD player came w/car, so it’s not an ‘aftermarket’ issue). I’m an “above average” computer user, but still, don’t get too technical!! ANY HELP APPRECIATED!
Let’s see . . .
You did burn the disc, correct? As opposed to dragging and dropping the music files onto the CD?
Hmm….beats me. I’m not much of a computer nerd myself.
copied CD’s have all sorts of errors like that. Try it again with another CD and see how that works out.
Arte you sure your radio in the Car is didigal?Or your player ??Or you CD???????
Yup, I did the drag and drop, so that may be the problem!! I will re-do the CD using the “BURN” feature and see if that’s the problem!! (Wish my kid was here to do this, she’s great at making CD’s… haha)

Yes, that is the issue. Computers recognize the files, but stereos cannot. Have fun!
uh oh, ‘burn’ did not work using Windows. May have to reinstall Roxio and see how that goes… This has definitely been a lesson in PATIENCE! Any other ideas, or am I destined to NOT get to play my ’80s hits on car road trips??
Can’t use iTunes, it makes my CD drive(D:) ‘disappear’… so I uninstalled iTunes and had to literally reinstall the CD drive. I’ll try reinstall fresh iTunes and see if CD player remains… maybe it was a glitch on first install. I TRULY APPRECIATE ALL THE SUGGESTIONS!!
Best burn is with Nero…
