I’m 17 and I need to schedule an appointment with my doctor because I think something’s wrong with me. The problem is my parents will be out of state for another week and a half which isn’t a bad thing cause I don’t really want them to know. I have all my mom’s medical information stuff I just don’t know what to do…

So how do you even make the appointment?? If I make an appointment will it cost money? And will the doctor tell my parents that I went when they get home?

i assume it does cost money…but…well maybe u can ask ur Dr not 2 tell them..his reaction’s down 2 ur disease,if it was serious,ur parents have 2 be aware of since u must start ur cure, but if it was nothing,i hope! :),i assume he won’t say if u reqeste him…
any way i think it’s better u let ur parent know, maybe it’s an hereditary disease which won’t be realized easily through examinations….
wish u luck :)

I don’t know much about american medical plans or such else as I am canadian, but I do know to make an appointment is easy you simply just call your family doctor, ask to set up the apppointment and then you can also ask them if you need to pay, or what information you will need. Also there is a pacient doctor confidentiality act inwhich they cannot give out any information to your parents with out your permission.

Good luck! Just remember, it never hurts to call and ask the doctor’s assistants for help, they will know more then you expect.

Don’t you have a guardian? You’re parents should know what’s wrong with you(if there is). They’ll be paying for your meds and others anyway.

I do hope you don’t have anything serious.
