i need something that works like garage band but works on a pc.

i have a mac but my friend has a pc and we need something so we can send each other project files for songs we are collaborating on. i need something we can both download that works on mac and pc and works as well or better than GB.
please don’t say he just needs to buy a mac. he can’t
