All Hi Defs do thins, um there is nothing you can do. they do it to makes sure you are listening to the commercials. =D

I heard once it had to do with the way sound is compressed in most commercials. Where as your shows have a wide range of volumes a commercial usually has sounds at around one volume, making loud noises quieter and quiet noises louder. This usually ends up with the volumes being around a point that’s louder than the sound in most tv shows.

In other words it’s not the TV’s fault, it’s the commercial’s
