I am from a small townin Ullin Illinois,March of 2008we
had a flood and towns around flooded also,we are being suied by an astint liveing home across the streetfor 100,000,as well as Illinois central rail road,the reason being we had a wooden bridge on our property,to get from one side of our land to the other,it left in the flood and ended up in the rail road culvert,they said the water didnt receed fast enough ,but everyone had water in homes before the bridge left,we had no flood insurance just home owners,they want us to settle for the 100,000,even though the insurance lawyer said it wasnt our fault ,but thats only to save them money by not fighting it.so we decided to settle because we had no money to fight it ,the rail road got mad because they didnt want us to so now they are going after us,we didnt cause the flood and God knows it ,but under so much stress and need someone to help us fight this.I am 56 and husband is 70,cant take much more worked all his life for someone to just want money we dont have,a flood and a law suite how lucky can we be,just need to vent God Bless all, Sharon evans Ullin Illinois
