yeah. that’s why oprah & rosie o’donnell have no friends either.

hate to break it to you, but it probably has more to do with your attitude then your weight.

From the sounds of things, your main problem is confidence. Fortunately, you’re at the perfect stage in your life to do something about it. Confidence-building can be tough and doesn’t happen overnight, but if you keep working at it you’ll see a real difference. Start small - smiling at people you don’t know, or striking up a conversation with a random stranger. Don’t be afraid to make a fool out of yourself - if you can learn to laugh at yourself you’ll find people laughing with you, not at you. If you try to adopt a confident facade when you’re around people, eventually you’ll find that confidence becoming more and more habitual until it becomes completely natural. Like I said, it takes time, but you’re at the perfect point in your life to get started!

hey… weight is relative… If I weighed 78kg - I wouldn’t be over weight.

What are “real” friends? I’m pretty certain my friends aren’t imaginary if that’s what we’re getting at…

real friend - perhaps it could be better explained by the term “bosom” friend from Anne of Green Gables.

… hmmm yeah, no idea where that came from. I haven’t seen or heard of Anne for yeaaars. I do remember reading “bosom” friend and smirking… But its used so much and so sincerely that one forgets just how ridiculous it sounds.

As for bosom friends. I guess I don’t have any either- its a lovely concept though… hmmm.

Visualisation/Meditation are methods that are supposed to help bring desired situations into reality. So perhaps you can try it.

I was the same in school, I never felt like I fit in. But almost as soon as school was over, I made some really good friends, who I’m still in touch with to this day.
