I want a tattoo.

I’ve been thinking for a while about getting a tattoo, and i’ve looked on various websites for a decent one, but i can’t find one and most of the websites are pretty useless. I’m thinking of getting one on either the bck of my neck, my left shoulder, or the inside of my right arm.

I’m planning on getting a kind of tribal tattoo in any of these places, if anybody knows and good websites, or any good looking tribal tattoos that could go in either of these places then could you please leave a link.

Ask around in your community about a reputable tattoo place/body shop.

Then, go to that place and speak to a tatoo artist. Tell him/her what you want and ask if they will draw it up for you. They should be willing to do this; it’s part of staying in business….

Also, don’t forget to look at their work that is displayed (usually in books in the lobby) and make sure that you like the kind of “spin” a certain artist puts on their interpretation of a piece of work….

They should….all of that ‘time’ that they spend doing that is part of staying in business and building a good reputation for themselves.

In this economy, getting a tat is almost a luxury; and tat artists may or may not have continuous work….

If the artist does not do that for you; find one who will. If you find one who will draw up a couple diff ideas, make sure to tip accordingly

Well the tattoo on the back of my neck would be just below the collar line so i hopefully wouldn’t have that problem, and on the inside of my arm would only be visible when wearing t-shirts.

There are several of the more conservative occupations that allow tasteful tats

I have worked in the District Attorney’s Office; and my tats would occasionally show. I am also a teacher, working in the elementary school, and my tats occasionally show. I do not like them to show too much at school simply b/c the kids are impressionable. But I make sure to tell them, when they ask, that it is a lifelong thing; it’s painful; you need to research before you get one; and all of those warnings.

Tats are a part of society

Ya’ know….tats are a personal choice; and those who get them see them truly as body art.

By the way, I am an EXTREMELY conservative person. And I like tats to be tasteful and not overly large; or covering the entire body. However, those who like them that way…their choice. As long as the issue is talked about responsibly and honestly….and the person who has the tats is a responsible employee/parent….I don’t see much of an issue. I think that it is more society’s “impression” that ppl with tats are party animals and irresponsible. I did not go to a bar til I was 21; I have strong Christian affiliations; I am currently working on a master’s degree….I have rental properties and home based businesses. I have three children. I have worked at jobs that were very conservative. Talk about responsible!! Pre conceived notions about ppl suck….

FUTHERMORE:

A person who researches and takes the decision seriously has already thought about when they are 80 with saggy skin….and ya’ know what??? When I’m 80, I’ll just be glad that I’m alive and well….I think that the tats will just be a part of WHO I AM/WHO I WAS. They will be a visual reminder of my life, as each tat I have gotten has been significant in it’s own way. I will wear them proudly, wrinkled or not. They are as much a part of ME as a birthmark is….more so, since they have been CHOSEN and have significance to certain aspects of my life.

ANYTHING can give a person cancer. Not enough brocoli is ‘cancer causing behavior.’

Yeah, you have a scar for life when you get a tat, because even if you don’t want it anymore, removal leaves a scar.

A person has to go to a reputable body shop to make sure that they use clean supplies, etc.

And, it’s not really mean to be glory. It’s art, in the opinion of people who like tatoos.
