computer help: problem with firefox browser, - Help.com

problem with firefox browser,

so i’m having an issue with firefox up until tonight i’ve had my home pages set to myspace, my.yahoo, azcentral.com, and facebook and they have always automatically logged me in. however they are no longer automatically recognizing me forcing me to re-login to all my sites every time i open them. it’s very inconvenient and very annoying how can i go back to having it automatically log me in? now i had to install a security update from microsoft after which i started experiencing the issue, but i backed up my computer to a couple days ago so that the updates shouldn’t be there but i don’t know how to check if that got rid of them or not.

any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks all,

Clay

Sounds like security settings to me - if you’ve checking the ‘remember me’ box and it’s not then it’s quite likely to be cookie related. hth.

In that case check that you have cookies enabled (Tools > Options > Privacy) - also check the exceptions bit and then check the Security tab (Tools > Options > Security) and check that remember passwords in ticked and, again, check the exceptions bit.

ok so myspace and facebook are both remembering me but they aren’t automatically loging me in which is slightly annoying but not something that has to happen, however my.yahoo isn’t remembering anything.

I have been haveing somewhat the same problem—-all cookies are enabled but the sites are telling me that my browser is set to reject cookies..I can change settings but it still doesnt matter..This only happens with Firefox–and started about 2 months ago–If I start IE it runs fine and all sites work..Been using Firefox for about 4 years and never had a problem untill now..
