job help: I worked at a restaurant that was part of a larger company (brinker - Help.com

I worked at a restaurant that was part of a larger

company (brinker international) for two weeks and left abruptly because they were giving me very very lousy shifts (like a couple 2-3 hour shifts a week, but every day so I couldn’t find another job to coincide) and I was in a bad financial situation. This was about 2-3 years ago. I’m applying tomorrow at another restauarant owned by brinker international, I have a referral from a person who works there, and I have excellent references. When it says “Have you worked for brinker international or any of its affiliates etc etc” on the application, do you think I should say “no” and plead ignorance if/when I’m asked about my past employment there, or do you think I should say yes and try to explain my way out of it?
