How do I remove demi-permanent dye from my hair?
I’m a natural blonde and I used RedKen Eq on my hair, which is a demi-permanent dye. It’s supposed to wash out in about 6 weeks.
Now that 6 weeks have gone, by hair has faded from a very dark auburn (around a level 4 or 5), to a light auburn (around level 7 but very red). I’d like ALL of the dye to wash out and return to my naturally blonde hair, which is between an 8 and 9. (With 9 highlights).
Should I wash it with just developer to open the shaft and remove the color stain? Should I dye it again using a level 9 shade? I realize it doesn’t have any lift in the color, but my hair, underneath this stain shouldn’t need a lift as it is already very light.
Ideas? Suggestions?
