I’m engaged and the wedding is in 2 weeks.

My finace has a drinking problem, I used to think he could eventually beat it, but now i’m not so sure. What should I do?

Put off the wedding until he gets control of that drinking problem. That will destroy your marriage before it even starts. Don’t marry problems!

If you marry him and you KNOW he has a drinking problem, when the real problems begin like no money, no place to live, arguing because he keeps on drinking, he will just throw that in your face and say “you knew I drank before you married me, so what’s the big deal now?” If you marry him, you are condemning yourself to a marriage full of struggles and hurdles that his drinking will cause for you. I predict hell on earth for you if you marry this man with this drinking problem. And in the end, you might end up alone anyways. So don’t marry the man. Run for your life, Charlie Brown!
