Well, we talked for a couple hours and after a while she just kind of asked, “is this another attempt at winning me back…?” I told her of course not - obviously sarcastic - and she just giggled. Looks like it’ll be working out from here. Easy enough, too. I just had to act the same I did the first time around. Like myself. =) Gotta love life sometimes.

If you want some really good advice, though marry her instead of just moving in together or at least get engaged and set a wedding date. Studies have found that more people who live together first and then get married get divorced compared to people who get engaged(with a wedding date set) or get married before moving in together. Look into this and you will find it is true. Don’t sabotage your relationship by moving in together before you have the proper commitment there.

Very true. I was actually planning on springing it close to New Years, and set a tentative date for sometime mid-next year. Maybe it’ll still go through like that. Who knows.

Funny story from when my hubbby and I were engaged:

I was at his place and I phoned my mom. “Mom *sob* come pick my up right now…” My Mom drove the 40 minutes across the city to come and get me.

When she arrived I hurried out to her car. she started driving away. He came rushing out of the house and running down the back lane.

My Mom, seeing him running like a madman in her rear view mirror asked me, “Did you tell him you were going?”

“No…”

“That doesn’t seem right.” She stopped and let him catch up and jump into the car.

Anyway, long story short, I HAVE NO IDEA what my problem was or why I tried to run away from him like that. That night we eloped - ran away together and got married. We have now been married 13 years! :)
