i have a very common sounding accent.
which defines me as being from Harlow to a lot of people. i spend a lot of my time out in a village about 12 miles from Harlow as i am a cub leader there and being there makes my common accent really stand out, i had been shouting directions my cubs for a game shouted “cap’ins Daugha” and realized how common i sounded, i have been told by friends from up north too i sound like i’m off eastenders, i want to speak proper English any tips or ideas to help me?
