we never celebrate our marriage, however, we do the date we got together

Depends how old you are and how much money you have. Being a guy, my girl got me a titanium ring for ours. Loved it.

Something to prove you know his interests helps. Mine knew I loved egypt since I was a kid, and got me a solid gold Ra pendant for xmas (been together a while). But you might want to ask one of his friends or fam for help. This sort of pressie can be harder, as he knows his interests well, you only know what they are *usually*. They can end up corny.
