I’ve been looking at peoples profiles randamly and there are a lot of people that have accounts but haven’t made any replys or made any posts, their accounts are just empty. Why do people make accounts if they aren’t going to use them?

It usually an account for a drive by user. They hit the homepage, ask a question that google/yahoo/msn/a-dictionary could have answered instead and then leave when they don’t get an instant full page essay response.

People on the internet have been trained to expect 0 seconds results — and we’re really not gearing Help.com for that, so you’ll see a large number of these “drive by users”.
