Help.com questions/irritants

Can someone give me a guess-timate on why I would have the phrase (You have completed 7 of 8 account steps.) on my Account Admin panel after being a member on this site for 2 years and completing all of the steps more than once to get that to go away?

Why is there no separate section on Help.com to follow up on website issues, such as the avatar problem? I have seen that same question asked multiple times in many multiple ways about the broken avatar issue. I still want to know what is being done to resolve it. (obviously nothing.)

Is there a way to adjust the refresh rate of this site or adjust the settings on my browser so that I can keep it from randomly refreshing while I am trying to submit a reply? Sometimes when I am replying, the page refreshes without notice at the reply and I lose my reply. Other times, when I leave a reply, it does not update the reply unless I do a manual refresh (F5).

Finally, I have tried to remove subscriptions from when I first signed up for this site 2 years ago and there is no way to make them go away. I have toggled, untoggled and un-subscribed but they are still there. How can I make them not show anymore?

I am not complaining about this site. I think it is awesome! I just need help with some little annoyances and thought I would ask since this is HELP.COM. Thanks all!

Are you looking for information on uploading an avatar or why you aren’t recieving notices on tags you’re subscribed too?

Unfortunately both of these features have been disabled until further notice. Looks like you’ll have to stick with your “letter of the alphabet” avatar. You can also Contact us with any other issues you have.

Sadly, no one left on the site can fix things. All the admins have vanished.

i am really beginning to believe that! it is nothing but the few who actually give REAL replies, the few who ask REAL questions, the HELP.com bots and a random jackass or two that just learned this site is here. thanks for the reply.

The site does seem faster today. I wonder if the powers that be ever read these posts?

i doubt it. if they did, there would be a resolution to the avatar annoyance. :-)
