My children haven’t seen thier dad for almost 3 years, it’s not because he didn’t want to see them, but he lives far away.

they talked to him on the phone and have positive memories of him. I learned today that he died, it was a sudden accidental death. The kids are 5 & 8, how do I tell them? They are also dealing with the break up of me and thier step father, the only dad they really remember.
