I had a horrible dream last night when I finally fell asleep around 4am.

I had a dream that I was being raped … again.

I texted one friend about it but I’m sure he’ll just reply with, isn’t this something you should be talking to your counselor about?

Regardless, it scared me. I was at a family picnic, in my family’s backyard.

And this guy followed me to the downstairs bathroom. I went into the bathroom and he went in with me. He stood by the sink pretending to wash his hands. He started asking me if I broke up with my boyfriend, I hesitated and said no, then yes… and he eventually approached me.

I started yelling for my dad, out of all people. I think it was because I saw him pass the bathroom door. And the guy was just laughing the entire time until I managed to break free and run out.

Luckily it was just a nightmare but it was still scary and I can’t say that I haven’t been in that kind of a situation before.

Anyone have advice?

It’s just a dream. Sometimes we have bad dreams it’s just one of those things. I’d forget about it and move on

The fact that you couldn’t sleep before going to sleep may be because something was troubling you which resulted in your nightmare
Try and get a good nght’s rest tonight

It really sucks because I was raped like 2 years ago and have to go to counseling for it . . . to this day. And it feels like that dream just re-instated a lot of the fear I have, and set me back.

And I really hate myself for dreaming about that too. Because obviously it’s coming from my own mind, which makes it even worse.

Don’t ever hate yourself. it wasn’t your fualt of being in that situation. Don’t talk to your friend about these things anymore. find somebody else who can help you trough it. DOn’t give up my friend.
