Are there any competitive ‘hobbies’ out there?

I dunno what hobbies really are, but in my book hobbies are competitive things you enjoy. :) (ex: horseback riding)

I’m 14 and wanna start one of these hobbies. I have a low self-esteem, so I’d like to WIN AN AWARD (eventually, haha) and MEET NEW FRIENDS since I don’t have a lot.

I have no idea why I just capped those 2 phrases.

Anyways, I’m outgoing and somewhat funny and I love making new friends.

I love singing, writing songs, fashion designing, modeling, acting, and so on. I’m not really into sports.

So yeah.

Any competitive ‘hobbies’?

curling is a good competitive hobby. You play in teams so there are plenty of people to make friends with

Acting. But in order to compete, you must be hella good at it! Naturally I mean.
Same goes for singing. If you are not a natural, you are screwed.

You said that you like dancing….go with that as a competitive hobby.

Also, I loved to ski when I was younger, but you have to be near ski resorts, obviously…but if you are, check it out

First, what is it you like to do/enjoy doing? Pets, sewing, making crafts, collecting things, playing video games, designing homes/rooms or just about anything, drawing/art, writing, public speaking, dancing, Olympic events…

What can you afford to do? Some competitive events are very expensive to enter or require expensive equipment or training. Other types are free or you might be able to find a sponsor.

How much time are you willing to spend or do you have to devote to this competitive hobby?

Is your family willing to support you in this endeavor, like driving you to and from, paying fees, etc?

You need to find something you’ll enjoy doing or you won’t like being in that sort of competition. Especially if it takes up most of your spare time.
