Football help: An 18 year old player (Junior) who has been with his club since under 9 was involved in a spitting incident. - Help.com

An 18 year old player (Junior) who has been with his club since under 9 was involved in a spitting incident.

He has never been carded in his years as a footballer. The referee inflated his report by reporting that the heavily injured player walked up to him and spat in his face and that the spit rolled down onto his shoulder. The player is guilty of spitting (NOT IN THE REFEREE’S FACE) onto the referees arm- that is where the spit landed in full view of the club captain, spectators and some team mates. He was subsequently given a 2 year suspension which is very harsh for such a young player whereas a previous spitting incident ‘(a 29 years old player from another club) was given a 6 match suspension upon appealing his earlier sentence of a 6 month suspension. On top of all this, the 18 year year old player was not registered to play for the club and has played under another players name. Please advise what could be done in order for this young footballer to get a leanier sentence. His club is not helpful (although promises were made to stand by him) because they know that they should not have played and unregistered player.
