Are you looking for answers about problems with your AOL service?

I’d like to recommend that you ask AOL directly since they are best suited to help you.

For AOL support, you can visit the AOL support site or even call them at an AOL toll free number.

You probably can. and I’m sure some hacker as figured out a way, but why? Circumventing the manufacturer’s hardware and software security is illegal.

Sorry about that but i guess i should have worded my question better!
I do have an Xbox 360 and i was planning on using it i just did not have access to an ethenet port other than the one on my laptop so i was going to try to go through my laptop with wireless internet instead of buying $100 wireless access thing for my 360.

Like i said i am sorry for the confusion on my question and i hope that cleared it up.

I think you can do that. You have to do a mod of the Xbox which will void the warranty. You first need to turn the game console into a mutimedia center. An article about doing this can be found here: http://news.com.com/2009-1043-5113192….

After the hack, the Xbox should be able to connect to the internet just like a network device. Good luck. -SoCo

I connected my xbox 360 to the internet through my laptop without any modding it should work…. you might have to set up your laptop so the “other computers can access the internet through min” option and then set it up to share the internet connection but that is pretty easy.

try looking on the microsoft website - it’s not illegal and you don’t need to mod the xbox. when you connect the xbox with a ethernet cable to your laptop you should get an icon (lower right) that recognises the xbox - just follow the instructions. and away you go.

To setup, (Windows Vista version) go to network and sharing center through control pannel. On the left of the screen, go to manage network connections. (Second from the bottom.) Once there, highlight LAN and Wireless network together. right-click. Bridge connections. Presto, you’re welcome.

you should go to your firewall settings and go to allow other computers to access internet through THIS COMPUTER (meaning your computer) and tick the box now when you use the ethernet cable it should allow the xbox access to the internet via your laptop

hope this helps!
