Do not start drinking. At best drinking would just replace one addiction with another, at worse you’ll have both at the same time.
If you managed to quit for a year, then you have the capacity to overcome it yourself. Think about why you went back to it in the first place. That’s probably where the root of the problem lies.
you fool you messed up your own head
nd i would help but youve brung it on your self and lepards dont change their spots etc
and drinkin would be just as bad

A psychological addiction can be harder to break than a physical addiction. Smoking cigarettes is a good example. It only takes a couple of weeks to get nicotine out of the body, but most people start smoking again long after the nicotine is gone — that’s why it’s so hard to quit.
You have a serious psychological addiction, and you almost certainly won’t be able to kick it on your own. First, find a good drug program. Second, you are going to have to completely change your life — you can’t keep the same friends you smoke with, and you can’t do the same things you’ve always done.
Good luck.
Smoking cigarettes is physically addictive though….
But yeah - psychological addiction can be hard to knock. The key is to realize that the weed is not to blame here - you are in control.
Exactly, cigarettes are addictive for their nicotine, however it’s also the habit of putting your cigarette to your mouth that can make quitting smoking worse. Habit, not addiction.
Weed is definitely not addictive. If anything the OP just has a habit of lighting up a join when he’s stressed or whatever else. He needs to replace the bad habit with something good, and that takes a lot of dedication and effort and much time as well. But it is possible.

Cigarettes are both physically and psychologically addictive. My point was that the psychological addiction is what prevents most people from successfully quitting smoking, not the physical addiction. So although marijuana is not physically addictive, the psychological addiction can be terrible, especially when someone has smoked so much for so long.
everyone is being so mean, i am on my 4th day a quiting smoking ciggs and it was really hard i dont think it was because of the nicotine i think it was just beacuse of the habit…what i did was stay super busy just kept movin i cleaned my entire house cleaned my yard gave my dogs baths, etc i just kept goin until i was so tired i passed out and woke up the next day and there was less of a craving…and also you should probably distance yourself from all your pot smoking friends for a while and hang with the family or somthin.i havent hung with any of my cigg smoking friends since i stopped and they understand that i just want to kick the habit then we’ll chill…good luck to u :)
