I need help finding a job.

I’m still a student, so I don’t really have any qualifications, and I live in North Hollywood, CA. Any suggestions?

I am a student also. Here’s some advice a doctor once told me: “No matter what line of work you’re in, always strive to be the best - be the best”. He then gave me the analogy of the iceberg: “The bottom is crowded with mediocrity, but if you’re willing to work hard, there is always room for the top”.

Basically, he told me no matter what my future goal was, to find a job (whatever was available) and to be the best. Makes sense, don’t wait until you find the perfect job.

Just FYI: This doctor’s son worked as a dishwasher during college just to pay the bills. Now he is in charge of the marketing division for Walt Disney in all Texas and Lousiana. I think it’s important to note that the type of job you get doesn’t define you as a person. If you’re in college, get whatever job you can get and work hard at it. It’s a good character builder!

Bottom line: Go out there and knock on doors, whatever doors may be available until you find a job. Without any qualifications as you state, there are still jobs out there: whether you’re willing to take them on or not is a different story.
