I’m trying to find a film, but I don’t know what it is.
I’m looking for a film that is profound and mysterious, but is still clear. I really like Donnie Darko and Vanilla Sky. I watch many David Lynch films, but I’m trying to find something profound like that, but a little less abstract. I hope you understand and can help me with my BIG DILEMMA!

I saw that already and I’m looking for movies that are more profound than that.
Tideland. Astonishingly brilliant. Noone seems to understand its brilliance but me. But that’s OK. The loss of innocense is the greatest human tragedy.
OH
here’s a good one:
The Seventh Seal
confusing, I still need to watch it again, but it was good.
I’ve seen The Seventh Seal, Midnight Cowboy and The Usual Suspects. I haven’t seen the others, but I’m not sure they are what I’m looking for. I’ll check em out anyway, but does anyone have anything else. Something science fiction like plus what I said before.
Equilibrium
V for Vendetta
oh and watch ALL the Twilight Zone episodes from the late 1950s to the early 1960s!
How about Dune? It’s an oldie but a good one.
The Lives of Others
it’s a German film, based on a true story, so not really sci-fi…but really good.
I’ll try the lives of others, but maybe an english film?
A film in english I mean.
Hm at the moment I can’t think of others, but I will when I have!
taxi driver
the page turner (french - amazing)
fire walk with me (david lynch)
I saw taxi driver and fire walk with me. I haven’t see the page turner though, I’ll look into it. You’ve been all great help, but I am still looking for that one great flick.
How about Schindler’s list?
Any Ingmar Bergman
the usual suspects
the shining
signs
the sixth sense
any hitchcock movie!!!!
Saw all of em’!
Ingmar Bergman has a “death trilogy” of sorts of movies exploring mortality. It was sorta mentioned. They include “Silence”, “Through a Glass Darkly”, and “The Seventh Seal”.
