what could i use instead of vegetable shortening?

im home alone and want to make apple pie, and for the pastry i need vegetable shortening which i dont have. wat could i use instead?
please help!

btw im under 18 and cant drive so telling me to go get some vegetable shortening will not be helpful.

you can try using butter, although that might make the crust burn. :(
do you have any crisco? that’s shortening, but it’s not vegetable… that would probably work.

well i have westarn star unsalted butter and nuttelex original im not sure if its butter or margerine tho.

um, i have no idea what that nuttelex stuff is, but unsalted butter is probably your best bet. just watch it really really carefully to avoid burning.

well nuttelex original is australian owned and made it says it contains sunflower oil, canola oil, vegetable oils, water, salt, emulsifiers and says its good for cooking and baking. should i try this one?
