Arrrg, I can’t ever sleep!

It’s not that I think too much, or that my subconscious keeps me awake. I just have the worst sleeping schedule ever. .__. I’m usually getting to bed 7 am or later, and then I sleep in until I have to work. What am I going to do when I get a shift tossed at me that starts at 9 am?

Ugh. What do you guys do to make yourself fall asleep faster?

Be completely calm an hour before you go to bed.

I was gonna say that. Try going to a psychologist and if you are depressed, see if you can get meds.
Try listening to Enya. lots and lots of enya. make sure the volume isn’t too high though

I don’t think I’m depressed. I mean, I used to think it, but I wouldn’t say so anymore. Either way, I’m not fond on using drugs for something that’s supposed to be completely natural.

I think I’ll have to get coffee in the morning. ahaha.
I need to be up by noon and it’s 6 am over here. And I’m still wide awake.

I’m sure being on the computer doesn’t help any, but sometimes it’ll take me over an hour to fall asleep.

-Shrug-
I swear it’s insomnia. There’s been occasions where I fall asleep before midnight, but I wake up at 2 am. And then I won’t sleep until 6 or 7 am. Or, I wake up at 5 am, and don’t sleep until 3 am the next day.

Well, one of my friends has quite bad insomnia and he says that the aromotherapy stuff is good. I’m not sure whether it works for everyone and i’ve neer tried it so I couldn’t really say.

He also says to do a list of everything that’s on your mind/ worrying you about an hour before you go to sleep so that it kind of clears your head or something like that.

Could be worth a try.

I have been to the doctor and she has given me trazodone. Blissful and beautiful sleep.

He said to make a list of things that worry you? that’s what kept me awake back when i REALLY couldn’t sleep. I’d never stop thinking about how much everything was sucking then, and how much I just wanted to go back. 0_0 I’m sure that’s not going to let me sleep now.

Aromatherapy? I’ll have to go wiki it.

Like I said, I haven’t tried these myself. I agree that it sounds like it could make you worse though.

I think you may have insomnia, just go to the doctors and see what they suggest

I could have insomnia. I’ve done a little research on it. They fall into 3 categories. Sleepless nights, every so often. Late nights, like early hours before you fall asleep. Like now. And then they have the insomnia where you do sleep, but wake up early before six hours. Like, go to sleep at 11pm, and you’ll wake up before 5 am, no matter what.

-Shrug- I could have insomnia.
I could just be stupid though, and should avoid the computer at late hours. I’m sure that’d help out quite a bit.

Doctor’s sound like fun. I don’t think my mother would find it suitable, though. She insists it’s the electronics, and just my sleeping schedule. It was the same thing when i thought I was depressed. She said I was just being over dramatic.

I couldn’t tell you one way or another.
I’m just glad I’m sleeping more now than I used to.
Because it’s not really that i DON’T sleep. I just have an awkward schedule. I sleep for 10 hours, usually. I usually don’t feel like getting up unless I’ve slept 12 or more, though. xD
