exactly a week ago..

my ex boyfriend’s youngest brother, age 16.. sophomore in high school, was shot behind the head and died on scene. at first it wasn’t something that impacted me hard enough to even cry when i heard. until 3 days after, it hit me that someone who could always make me laugh and always wanted everyone to be happy would never be doing that again. and i was brought to tears.
the shooting was gang related, although he was not in a gang. the friend he was walking with was in the gang. after getting into an argument, the guy in the car started to shoot blindly hitting Jaime in the head.
the shooter was 22 years old.. and thankfully caught one town over and is convicted for 2 murders..
the funeral was one of the ugliest experiences i’ve ever seen.. but it puts things into perspective. how much we take for granted in this world… one being the precious gift of life.. he was an example of “here today, gone tomorrow”. you don’t think that sort of thing will happen to anyone you know or close to you, but in the blink of an eye, it can all be gone. maybe not by a gang shooting, but it can happen. i didn’t think so, yet here it is.. i’ll never get to hug or talk to him again..

a week ago, someone told me; i´m sorry, but, Lady (a horse i´m a keeper of), she is old now, you know that, and her knees are worse than ever, and the girl ho owns the horse, moved far away, did´nt care of the horse, she lets her mother keep it now, and havent even paid for a stable place for the winter, she might have to be put down in 3 weeks”,,, 2 weeks have gone now, i werent able to meet the horse, i was on a vacation, and maybe, this week will be the last time i´ll ever se her.
Yesterday, i was looking around google, and found that the other horse, ivé been a keeper of for 4 years now, has to be sold, hes already bin for sale a month, and i did´nt even know that,so i will lose them both before august is over, and the second horse, i´m not sure i´ll ever meet again, :´(
So i´ts true what you say, you must do the best of the time you have with someone, - you´ll never really understand how much you love someone, untill you loose him/her.

yeah, i’m alright. i just miss him. but this is a terrible lesson.. for a lot of people. so he did do something to help when he passed. over 150 people were at his funeral.. and he was only 16.. that’s truly amazing.
