Ohio house Spider?

I’ve found this spider in my room twice now, crawling on the wall of my bedroom, next to my bed. I’m always too afraid to get a picture of it, so I just smash it with a shoe, but can never find the body.

=/ I’m currently residing in North Eastern, Ohio, and my bedroom is in the laundry room.
It’s actually relatively big compared to little spiders you find in your home or in the garden.
I’m not really worried about it at all. I don’t believe Ohio has any poisonous spiders, but I wonder if someone could point me into a direction to site where there’d be images of numerous spiders?

=] I want know what’s crawling in my bed at night.
They’re kind of aggressive. I do have bite marks on my arms and legs. Nothing serious, though, more like mosquito bite like things.

The only thing I can remember about its color was that it had a hint of red in it. Kinda in the legs. It didn’t look hairy, nothing like a tarantula hairy or anything. I couldn’t see any hair if there was. And, I believe it had six legs? Oh, and a slightly large butt. =P

If anyone could tell me, if you know, or have a slight idea of what it might’ve been, It’d be appreciated!
Thanks.

Ahaha. I’ve done that.
I didn’t really go into the sites though. =/
That probably would be a good idea, no? xD

Could be a fruit spider.

They’re the ones that come across from hot countries in the fruit.
I don’t really know much about them but you could google them and see if they look like that.

I’m no zoooligist but spiders jaws can either open(and close) horizontally or vertically, not both.
Also, a house with many spiders must have lots of prey (e.g insects) so as the saying goes ‘Remove the prey to remove the pest’.

Although you can get a ‘bite’ from the small fangs either side of the mouth which the spider uses to inject its prey to paralyse it. All spiders have these however big or small they are.

I’m not sure if the spider is actually biting me. I looked online at ‘possible’ spider bites. I’m not sure if ALL of them are as bad as what those looked like, or what, but.

I’m not concerned about the bite marks or anything.
Our dogs have been scratching a bit, but I checked my Maltese, and she’s clean, so. I don’t think it’d be ticks. the rest of the family has been getting these ‘bites,’ too, so I’m not sure. Whatever. xD

I’m just curious as to what kind of a spider it was.
It’s the second time I’ve seen it, and it literally was just walking along my wall. It was big enough for me to freak out.

Next time I’ll take a picture of it. =]
