depression help: i’m worried about my mom. - Help.com

i’m worried about my mom.

she admits that she’s depressed. she hasn’t been to work in over a week, and she doesn’t plan on going tomorrow either. she’s on depression medicine, but it doesn’t seem to be helping. i’m worried that she’s going to lose her job, and we’ll lose our house again. anything i can say or do to help? or is it beyond my control?

Ask her to make a plan. If she can’t handle going back to work she has to have some kind of a plan.

maggie_k77 i spend time with her all the time. i try and make her feel better. my grandma has noticed it too. my mom is the most important person in my life, she’s always been there for me and i want to help her. i just don’t know what else to do. my parents have been divorced since i was 2, and i’m 15 now. they have nothing to do with each other.
