well it aint gonna kill you. 16 paracetamol is really not enough to do any sort of damage, other than maybe make you feel sick.

It depends on the strenght of each tablet, and what is in the hayfever medication.

Paracetamol is basically sugar pills, they sell them at the supermarket lol.
Lots of things are sold at the supermarket - doesn’t mean you can take 16 at once. An overdose can cause liver damage which can be permanent and fatal.

? of paracetamol
You most definitely can die of paracetamol (Tylenol) overdose. I found that out the h-a-r-d way.
i guess you hard core US druggies have different paracetamol to us here then. coz theres no danger of it here.

Actually, yes, I believe we do. I believe it’s mixed with a bit of the antidote overseas because of the number of overdoses. But they refuse to do that here, assuming that people won’t overdose on it because they believe it is harmless.
emm…no. i have no idea where you got that from but thats not true.
there is no “antidote” for paracetamol, its not a poison. overdose is controlled through induced vomiting, stomach pumping and other medication, not an antidote.
i say this because when i was at school a bunch of girls took hundreds of the pills. the school panicked and called ambulances-but nothing happened other than they got pretty nauseous and felt like tards.

I accidentally overdosed on Tylenol a few years ago. I took all of one kind of medicine that I could; then took a full daily dose of another; then took some other stuff…all without realizing that each one contained a full daily dose of acetaminophen (Tylenol, Paracetamol).
I had to go to the emergency room for a dose of the antidote (don’t know what it’s called), and have yearly liver exams. It IS poisonous, and will kill people if they take too much. And it’s a slow, horrible, painful death. It causes massive liver damage -especially if one takes anything at all with alchohol in it.
If they’re treating them with impecac or such, then I believe it’s because the antidote is mixed in with the pills. I believe they began doing that in the UK and Australia just before my overdose, because people were suiciding on it. Here, the drug lobbyists prevent that because they don’t want their product’s image to be damaged. So a lot of people here have NO IDEA how dangerous the stuff is.
But don’t take my word for it. Google overdoses on the stuff, and you will find lots of information.
[quote Wikipedia]Paracetamol hepatotoxicity is, by far, the most common cause of acute liver failure in both the United States and the United Kingdom.[6][60] Paracetamol overdose results in more calls to poison control centers in the US than overdose of any other pharmacological substance.[61] Signs and symptoms of paracetamol toxicity may initially be absent or vague. Untreated, overdose can lead to liver failure and death within days. Treatment is aimed at removing the paracetamol from the body and replacing glutathione. Activated charcoal can be used to decrease absorption of paracetamol if the patient presents for treatment soon after the overdose. While the antidote, acetylcysteine, (also called N-acetylcysteine or NAC) acts as a precursor for glutathione helping the body regenerate enough to prevent damage to the liver, a liver transplant is often required if damage to the liver becomes severe.[3]quote]
yes. UK. and USA.
*sighs* nvm.
idk why people cant understand sometimes that those countries are not the only ones in the world and your standards do not apply elsewhere.

I do know that. But I have no idea where the OP is from, and a thousand other people read these posts from all over the world. If something is harmless in your country, that doesn’t mean it won’t hurt someone somewhere else.
And…let’s not forget that every person is different. Some people have allergic reactions. Some drugs don’t intermix well. The only advice if someone has any doubts has to be to go to a doctor. That’s the only acceptable answer, because we can’t know anything from where we sit.
then would it not be more prudent to ask which country OP resides in, rather than pandering to the attention seeking needs of an issue ridden teen.
