Anyone know stuff about girls fashion?

I’m almost 17 and I’m going into a new school in two weeks. I didn’t fit in at all in my old school because I was the ‘tomboy’ of the group and I got slagged and excluded quite a bit because I wasn’t like the other girls. I hate going out with friends because I look like one of the guys and seem completely different to the other girls.I have not worn a dress/skirt since I was like 4 - and even then it was my mothers choice :-). Just now that I get a fresh start - I need some advice.

I don’t know anything about fashion. I only wear t-shirts and jeans. Could anyone suggest combinations (for clothing/shoes) or ideas of even shops? ANY suggestions would be and (big!) improvement.

I know most people wont think this is important - but I hated my old school and just want to fit in (like everyone else). I’m sure you all know what teenage girls are like and don’t want to have to go through what I went through in my old school.

Thanks

Just do your hair different all the time and wear make up and jewelry and you won’t look like a guy even in jeans and t-shirts…

okay, i agree with the girl above,
i gets me by with sum big shades a white vest a pair of jeans and some flipflops :D
but really it all depends wa you like, i like big things, i got me big shades and big bags, wearin your hair down is the best really, i vary with mine and sometimes i have it straight other times i wave it, which you can learn to do on youtube. and you can learn to apply make up real good on there too. i shop mostly in; river island, topshop, zara,h&m,next, lunacy, mkone. their all good shops and they vary in style so w/e suits you really :D, but seemin as you say your a tomboy im thinkin you wear alot of blues and black?, well try and choose some different colours, but dont stick to em. i wear all types of colours. mostly i prefer the bohemium style, gladiator shoes, skirts or highwasted shorts, flimsy tops, and vests. but, ALWAYS wear some form of acceories, whether its a hat, necklace, bracelet, ear rings, w/e.you need to accessorise. and btw just cause your goin girly doesn mean you have to wear pink, cause well tbh, i never do eiether :L. but find something your confident in and something that suits your body shape and who you are:D
sorry if i went over board. i just like clothes :L and btw im only 16 so this aint sum old granny tellin you wa to wear :D

short mini skirt, stockings, high heels and revealing blouse.
You won’t be a tom boy in that outfit.

You say your a tomboy? well, you don’t need to change your style completely. you can still wear tomboyish styles just as long as you tone it down, and maybe add something girly.

Go for a high waisted skirt. They look good on pretty much anyone.
Look for some in topshop, or something. They give you really good curves and bring out your figure.

Add a bit of colour to all of your outfits. Maybe some bracelets or a colourful belt.

Don’t try and go overboard with it though: the most important thing is that you feel comfortable with what you are wearing. You can pull anything off if you feel confident :)

you dont need to follow fashion just to fit in. wear your t’s and jeans with pride. if you really want to try it, wear something like this shirt:

http://www.shopstatic.com/store/image…

with whatever jeans you want. (think shape over pattern. try boat neck or v necks.)

but remember not to wear stuff you dont want to, just because some european man says “eet eez in ze nou” doesnt mean you have to wear it. ;) besides, who want to look like a clone?

I know what your saying - but I havn’t really changed style - ever!
Like I was wearing similar stuff when i was 12.

Plus - all the girls in my new school are going to be…the popular and fashionable type. (with rich parents lol)
I just don’t want to be the one who looks out of place or like the class tomboy (which I already am)
