what’s the best way to go about EQing a rhythm guitar?

we have a new rhythm guitarist who does not know much about sound. he needs to sound lower than the lead guitarist, but not lower than the bassist, putting him in between both so all 3 sections (low, middle, and mid-high sections) can be heard.

You do that with the mixer, not the guitar. Hire a real sound engineer…

and if you can’t hire a sound engineer, quick and easy way is just to put the lead guitar amp at volume 10 and the rhythm and bass at 8 ;)

The EQ on the amp is up to your personal preferences.
