well i highly doubt 8 is enough to do some damage. she might get sick, throw up and feel better.

but then again, i dont know what kind medication it is… if i knew that i could help more.

this is actually taken from a website that deals with drug overdoses.

Claritin Overdose: An Introduction
Claritin® (loratadine) is a medication approved to treat allergies and hives. It is part of a class of medications known as non-sedating antihistamines, which are less likely to cause drowsiness. As with all medicines, it is possible to take too much Claritin, although an overdose seems unlikely. The specific effects of a Claritin overdose will vary depending on a number of factors, including the Claritin dosage and whether it was taken with other medications or substances

so yea… from what i can see… eight isnt anything to worry about.

Symptoms of an Overdose
Based on the cases that have been reported, the following symptoms of a Claritin overdose are possible:

Drowsiness
Rapid heart rate (tachycardia)
Headaches
Feelings of a rapidly or forcefully beating heart (known as heart palpitations)
Unusual body movements or muscle contractions

those are things to watch out for, just in case. but i HIGHLY doubt its anything to worry about.

and as you can see… it doesnt seem like any of the symptoms are serious. seems like normal side effects that are contributed with many drugs.

so again. dont worry too much but tell her to just watch out for anything suspicious just in case.

okay :) that sounds like a good idea just in case. it will make everyone feel better.

(just know that some places will keep someone who is afraid they overdosed on something in the hospital for legal reasons. as sometimes it is hard to be 100% sure if its life threatening. so if she gets admitted for the night or whatever… dont panic lol. it is a scary thought though, i know.)

well good luck, and i hope your friend is okay.
