With trust at such a low level, I wonder: What motivates people to lie?
I’m reminded of 2 songs that show how much people WANT truth and how little the value lies.
The first most of you probably haven’t heard - sung by a great vocalist from Germany — very earthy voice, has worked in folk, rock, jazz genres): http://www.deezer.com/en/music/wolfhound-anne-haigis#music/wolfhound-anne-h aigis (you’ll have to cluck on “truth (waiting for you)” to hear it
The second — a pop song by Christine McVie (Fleetwood Mac) — asks to to “tell me lies” like it’s cheap + easy to lie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=US...

…
wth? lack of trust motivates people to lie… do you go to strangers and confess that you have 20 hemorrhoids just burning and itching?
or do you tell that to your mom?
trust allows truth

Truth. Lack of self esteem, insecurity and wanting attention, control and avoiding responsibility. As well as the others. Depends on whether it’s a friend or a stranger and their motives.

i think its better to tell the truth from the start
i dont even believe in little white lies either
youll always be found out
& you need a bloody good memeory too, if you dont want those holes getting bigger :/
even if someone was hurt by my opinion, they asked&i told the truth
im not going to tell someone lies because it suits them!
im open , honest&frank..
just wish other people could be the same :/
you think its ok to tell white lies?
even tho it hurts someone?
i dont, i like to be upfront*too upfront im told sometimes*
white lies, can give of wrong impressions&cause hurt feelings:/
oh, sorry my mistake :)
these

When i tell a lie it’s always to protect the person i am lieing to, from finding out something that may hurt them.
usually people lie to further their own cause. to protect their position.
A. to keep from getting in some form of trouble
B. to protect anothers opinion of them (to remain “the nice guy”)
C. to protect their current position (rather at the diiner table or in the courtroom)
All of these are to protect a persons current position. And the lie is usually in the direction to maintain or promote their current position in life. Cha Cha Cha!

What matters to you is entirely up to you.
I care more about inside too — but to each their own.
So are you a sissy on the inside, or are you a SUPERHERO? ;D
Im a sissy-drama queen, lol. Im glad you care about the inside though :)

Yeah, if only I was skinnier, blond, and prettier… Ooh, that sounds so negative, doesnt it?
makelove wrote:
If you were skinner, blond and prettier then it probably wouldn’t be as much fun — it would just be boring. The reason you’re not skinnier, blond and prettier doesn’t matter to you or me, because we don’t care about it. And it probably wouldn’t matter to anyone who we might care about.
So thinking about skinnier, blond and prettier seems to be entirely off-topic.
:)
Hmm, we totally went off-topic. Gotta think of more reasong why people lie. Lets see… to make it worse for someone they dont like?
