Any tips on free running and parkour?

Yes i have had some earlier posts but i need some more help. I have been trying it and im starting off great. I heard that you need to strech after your training. Is it good to start on my trampoline? Im working on jumping off of it and doing the tuck and roll. Please anyone just give me some pointers.

dunno anything botu this but mats are a good idea, failing that dress like a chav and run like your prehistoric and you should fit in fine, and if any one questions you, well just face plant the wall and say sh#########88 i cooked it up, , , but i can do it, and then just put 2 feet up on a wall and touch the top

NEVER stiff post a landing

search and research how the PROS land a 20 foot drop and ALWAYS incorperat the absorb into every landing you do, even it’s a slide. But obviously a slide landing is going to be a diffrent absorbtion than a round off absorbtion.

warm up,pre, post stretching and warm downare all 4 diffrent, and are more important than you can imagine.

partners are extremly important.

one slip on ascident and your busted head needs an ambulence NOW, not after your brains are dried out on the sidewalk

look at jacki chans and steven segauls out takes, i respect them for thier own stunts, but thier out takes PROVE mistakes happen, and bones break

a good public place to go practice whene u have no partner is a skate or bike park
if you can find a gymnastics or martial arts studio that will put up with you for free you best off there

ninjitsu and acrobatic kung-fu will help you to learn your options best aside from traditional gymnastics

Im going to ask my friends if they wan’t to try it. Otherwise i’ll practice for at least 2 months than i’ll probably try doing some new things. Im really fit so i’ll just try to get more fit so that i’ll be more than ready for this. Do you suggest sit-ups? Situps do help make your back have better lower muscles so i think i should do a lot of them. :)

reverse sit ups.
the classic exersize for these is called a roman chair.

basicly just below your hip pivot points you will bend forward over a padded bench, the legs held down by a padded bar, and lift your torso up,to then be inline with the upper half of your legs

try doing one side alternat the otherside, betwene each sit up fully relax for 1 second and do the situp slowly

for regular situps, use the standing fram where your feet hang directly below you all the way and your arms are bent at the elbow resting on a support, then do any type of leg lifts you can

always be sure to pay special attention to the shoes you wear, not a high heal, but with as MUCH shock absorbtion as you can get

walking with extreme weight is good, never jog or run with to much weight above the weight, a little is ok, but to much weight above the waist destroys the hips
besids, thing weights + ancle weights are targeting the mussles you want

upside down pushups target both ballance and launch strength

remember pain is one way how your body comunicates with you.
if you ignore your pain you might lose the privilage of using your body.
believe me, i know
i hope you never end up like me
i’m only 31 and have been so bad off i couldnt even use a cane to walk with.
pleas, enjoy the body and agility God has blessed you with, but never abuse it.
