He says he needs “time to think”

Is this a fast track to a break up? Or am I reading far too much into it? He knows I have 3 exams tomorrow, followed by 2 on Tuesday and 1 on Wednesday. Is he simply holding off the break up until I’m done with all this school stuff?

I really like this guy, and I made some stupid mistakes (from my last posts). What do you all think? I asked him to just tell me now if he didn’t want to be with me so that at least I could know.. but he responded with, “Stop annoying me. I need to think. Let me be”.

I guess I’ll find out in a few days. It’s killing me how much I miss him. I can’t get him off my mind, even if my life depended on it.

I think the best thing you can do is give him the space he asked for. Pressuring him to communicate thoughts he’s unsure of and not ready to share could very well push him to break up with you, even if he wasn’t originally planning on it. This may be asking the impossible, but try to focus on the tasks at hand (your exams) and let him come to you when he’s ready.

You have the answer now:)

What time is it now?
Are you taking a study break?
What are your exam subjects?
What level of education are you at?

He broke things off last night. It’s 5 in the morning and I can’t sleep, even if I tried. It’s going to be an interesting set of exams… Luckily, King Lear is about sufferings of a man and Mrs. Dalloway is the true loneliness of people.

Try to focus if you can. Doing well now will help you later.

Thanks Max and everyone. It’s been a hectic day. The Biology exams were average at best. English was good at the beginning - my King Lear essay flowed well and I hardly though of him. However, when the Marvell poem came… it was “Eyes and Tears”. It’s not the easiest thing to write about how through one’s tears and suffering one can see clearly. So that was a bit of a mess.

Tomorrow I have my 3 hours Psychology paper and Biology practical. I’m going to sleep early now so I have a good rest.

My friends are being a good support group, as are all you lot :)

Welcome to love but if you think your instinct tells you that he doesn’t love you then be it and don’t ruined your future career with it. He just nit worth it and your love can go to someone else that will appreciated in the further.

I know.

But for once I just wanted to follow my heart and not my head.

“What does the brain matter,” said Lady Rossetteter getting up, “compared with the heart?” - Mrs. Dalloway (the best novel ever written)

Thank you though :) I know that in a few weeks or a months time, I’ll look at what you wrote and wholeheartedly agree. So that gives me comfort.

I was always going to completely my education - no question about that. It was just the fact that I was going to move to Melbourne or Sydney for University (if I got in) but then decided to stay in Auckland and go to Auckland Unvirsity.
Now the doors to Melbourne/Sydney are wide open again. Though it would be economically easier if I stayed in Auckland…
I’ll apply anyway, and whatever happens happens.
