I am not sure if this is the right site to go to for this kind of help.

First of all, I’m only 13. So I can’t pay fro some expensive virus thing to fix this.

Just an hour ago, I had installed avast antivirus, because my computer had a bunch of trojans, viruses, ect. And it made me go through this long downloading process, then the screen went black! The power button was still on, and it will sometimes let me switch from wireless to not wireless, but that is the only button it will let me press!!! otherwise, there is apsolutly no response or anything. Please help!!!

I have a compaq laptop.

Hmm
I take it you have tried holding the power button down for a miute to do a quick power off? (note: you should only turn off your computer that when if there is no other option)

If it still starts up the same then I think you need to get an adult to look at it.

If it starts up fine then you need to go into, programmes, control pannel, add/remove and the uninstal what you put on there.
Once you manage that you can instal either AVG or Avira, both are free and both are good legit anti virus programmes, make sure you get them from a legit site though and not just from an ad or something.

If you’ve already got a load of viruses on your computer, the only answer may be to reformat the hard drive. This will wipe everything off the drive, viruses and all, and will mean you’ll have to reinstall windows (and whatever else you had on there). If you have to resort to this, make sure you have an afternoon free because you will need it.
