I think somebody left it at your doorstep knowing that you have a good heart and will probably adopt the him. If not, just take it to the local ASPCA shelter.

So if this kitten doesn’t have a collar I’d suggest you give them a ring. You might also want to try offering it some water in case it’s dehydrated. Be careful it doesn’t bite or scratch you though, as if it’s a stray it won’t have had any shots and might have picked up some diseases.

Just a thought, but that green goop around his eyes might mean he’s got some sort of eye infection. I’d call the rspca just to be on the safe side. Even if they just tell you to leave the kitten outside for his mother, at least you’ll know for sure it’s the right thing to do.

In that case, dump everything you’re wearing into the washing machine on a hot cycle and get yourself into a hot bath as soon as possible, otherwise you’ll have fleas everywhere in the house.

Then put them in the machine on the hottest setting, then put yourself in the bath on its hottest setting.
