I just changed jobs at the same company.
The new team I’m moving to makes a product that is vastly technologically inferior to the one I just left. In fact, we started with their product, and made it loads and loads better. Now I feel like I’ve gone back in time to the steaming pile of crap. I’m trying to be positive, but the technology sucks rocks and yet they are very defensive about it being good enough to ship.
Is it time to surrender and look for a job at another company, or I put my big girl panties on and deal with it? And if the latter, do I try to gently influence them to make better decisions, or just deal with the steaming pile of crap as a steaming pile of crap?
