iPod help: My ipod tells me to connect to itunes and i pluged it into my computer.. - Help.com

My ipod tells me to connect to itunes and i pluged it into my computer..

but then it says i need to unlock the passcode, which i cant because it only showss the “connect to itunes” picture on my ipod.What do i do? help please? :)

is it a new ipod? if its never happened before try restarting it. unplug it from the computer. switch the hold button on then switch it back off and hold down the middle button and the menu button at the same time until the apple symble comes up on the screen. if thats doesnt work plug it back in and try clicking on the thing that says “‘yourname’s ipod” see if there is anything in there about lock codes.
or maybe just try unplugging it and then typing in the passcode if a little lock thing comes up on the screen when you turn it on. or maybe go into extras and click on “screen lock” could have something to do with that..im not sure if this will help but i hope it does!

no its not a new ipod, i got it last year. it never done this before D:
after i restart it, it goes back on and shows the picture again and the passcode lock doesnt pop up either.
and it wont connect to itunes because it says that it needs te be unlocked first. so its not showing on the side either.
