Sore throat that wont go away.

I’ve had a sore throat for about 8 days now. At first it was just sore but then my glands got really swollen. They were huge so I went to the doctor but the strep test was negative. He gave me a steroid prescription to fill if I was having trouble swallowing. He said it’s probably a viral infection and to only come back in if I developed a fever.

I don’t have a fever and I don’t feel run down at all. My only symptoms are a sore throat, swollen glands, and white spots on my tonsils. Can anyone tell me what is going on or how I can get rid of it?

okay that is b.s. cause that means you have strep throat that doctor is a dumb *** go get a second opinion because I was quite worried about that **** but no white bumps means no strep if there is like you do you have strep…how ever if you like to try a homeremedy that is fairly cheap go to a store and get benzoilperoxide the 3% kind I believe put 2 cap fulls in with 2 spoon fulls of water and gargle…it will usually kill any kind of bacteria/virus cause I had several sore throats where they were there for awhile.
