I recently re-connected with the love of my life.
We were in our twenties when we broke up. He was scared of committment. Now, after only talking for a week we fell in love again. We both thought it was nuts, but we planned to leave our spouses and try to make this relationship work. He told me he was very unhappy with his marriage and he wanted to go to counseling but his wife did not want to. 3 weeks ago he told me that she is pregnant. He said he would stay with her until the baby was born and that he still loved me. Then a week ago he sent me an email, right after the sonogram, and just cut things off completely. I know he is doing the right thing but I wonder if he’ll ever leave her. I am so devastated. Im trying to move on but it is so hard to think that I will never speak to him again. I am respecting his wishes and not contacting him….should I just give up?
