job help: I had originally been offered a job at Company A back in January. - Help.com

I had originally been offered a job at Company A back in January.

Because of the economy the start date kept getting pushed back from June to September and then to January. Meanwhile I took a different job at Company B because I needed a job after just graduating college. I’ve been at the job for a month now and just got a call from the recruiter at the Company A saying they were going to be hiring for sure in October and they wanted me there. Company B just created my current position and I am the first person to be doing it. I don’t like what i am doing because i feel over qualified and am bored for the majority of the work day. There is not enough work for me to do. Is it okay for me to quit after only a few months and go to Company A, which is where I’ve wanted to work since I began college?

yep, it’s OK to do that. :)

although, it’s best to formally quit from company B when your job is ready at company A. seems like they have a bad habit of postponing your employment. :)

best of luck!

Don’t quit until you have your job in the other one for sure. So far they were promising only. When you have your job, then quit the other.
